Thinking: I want to go to Lappeenranta.
Today was so boring that I actually read all my wordy and dull reading materials for class. I even started on my Destinations project which is only due on Friday and it is not even a real deadline, just a date my partner set up to go through each other’s work.
We were supposed to go to a church today but somehow the Russians who were going with us decided to stay in the swimming pool. They made us wait the whole day thus making our Sunday the most boring ever. We could have gone to Imatrankoski or somewhere but no, we had to stay in the hostel and STUDY. We even did laundry which was supposed to be saved for tonight. So in the end we didn’t go to any church or temple or mosque.
What saved us from rotting were our neigbours. I think rotting would have been even more interesting than studying. At least you can see the mould grow on you. Around 3+ they asked us if we wanted to join them in a game of volleyball. We agreed immediately (Or at least I did. I would have done anything to not continue studying.) We used the hall in the vocational school next to City Market. After setting up the nets and all, we realized that we didn’t have a volleyball. Faint. So 2 guys went out to buy a ball while the rest of us either used the computers or hung around in the gym. Halfway in the gym, Swee Ting and I realized that we forgot about our laundry. We left the building in our shorts (surprisingly) and rushed back to take out our clothes.
After hanging the clothes, we went back to the hall where the Russians have already started the game. Tze Yi and I just joined them and I must say my volleyball skills are really gone after 4 years of not touching the ball. Everytime I hit the ball, it will fly everywhere except where I want it to go (ok…it got better but still). Now my forearms look diseased. Seems like the blood capillaries burst and there are red dots all over and it HURTS. Wah!!!
Next Saturday night, there will some sort of cultural gathering. Some China people and Finnish people have decided to cook something from their country and we are invited. Argh!!! I don’t know what to cook. I really missed the chicken I ate in Jiun Chyi’s house and I want to cook it but Finland really does not have the ingredients. Anyway, Jiun Chyi, can you send me the recipe just in case I found the ingredients? Thanks. Feel free to suggest any Singapore food which I can prepare.
There is no Visions class tomorrow morning so meaning I can sleep in. Whee!!!
